COVID-19 is making its way across the world. There have been many people who have contracted the virus and others who have died.

With the recent outbreak, the CDC has implemented a warning of caution for social gatherings to reduce the chances of furthering the spread of the coronavirus along with familiar precautions of washing ones hands.

In the sports world, preparation is also taking place. The NCAA will plan to have games without fans for the 2020 NCAA Tournament, known as “March Madness". The LA Lakers are waiting on notification by the NBA before they proceed with banning fans.

The Mayor of San Fransisco, London Breed, recently issued a ban on all social gatherings of more than 1,000 people in the city. The Mayor issued the ban for 2 weeks and it could continue longer. Due to this, the Golden State Warriors will play a game without fans attending for one of the first times in history. This game will be played against the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday, March 12, 2020. The Post Malone concert was also canceled in the same stadium that holds over 15,000 people- the Chase Center.
